Excellent car rental company! Provided a child car seat for free – which was so handy in our 16 day hire. Really good company – friendly staff / owner. Reasonable rates – they don’t rip you off!

Good service and the car I had been renting here. We requested a car to be delivered to the Bandaranaike International Airport, but mistakenly went outside of the airport. Naufal (their representative) delivered the car to another place without any additional fee. They also provided me Sri-lanka driving permit for only 1 working day. The car was in good state (mileage about 50000km). I’m fully recommend this company.

I was provided an excellent car ( Subaru XV hybrid ). No issues. As the car did not have a spare i was provided with an alternate tyre pressure sealant and pump. Rear tyres were worn off and was promptly replaced. Easy to deal with and Jaliya and team highly recommended!

We recently visited Sri Lanka and rented a car from Shinaway Rent a Car at Nawala for the period 12th to 28th August 2018. The service provided by Shineway was excellent. We were provided with a car in a very good condition and the rental terms were fine. Having a trouble-free car added very much to our comfort during our visit. The staff at Shineway was very friendly and especially Jaliya the owner was extremely courteous and supportive when we met him both at handover and return. Our security deposit was promptly returned and we would recommend Shineway to anyone visiting Sri Lanka needing to rent a car. We will certainly use them anytime we return to Colombo.

Couldn’t have asked for more from this company! We booked a car with driver for five days, pick up from airport and drop-off in Nuwara Eliya with a few places in between. Our driver was pretty much a tour guide and a driver all in one. He knew so much about all the places we visited and with great English was able to help us learn all that we needed. The process was very seamless, with incredibly responsive office staff and clarity on pricing etc. definitely will book through these guys when we return to Sri Lanka

I got to know Shine way Travels through a good friend of mine an Aussie Gent by the name of John Arthur. I was telling him how hard it is for me to get a 4 wheel drive .He said to me Jai i use a company call Shineway travels.i was shocked as he said this to me.True to his word Shinway has done a great job for us.I have in total hired 3 vehicles. One for my Mother in law one for my Sister-in- law and one for my self on self drive .The 4 wheel i hired was great.the only problem i had was a dead battery which i replaced and shineway promptly refunded my Money.i will be giving shineway travels 10 out 10 for there great service and will be using them again and giving them more business as they were true to there word and dealing with some car rentals in sri lanka is not recommend but shineway did a great job. even my Overseas Driving licence was also taken for me and when i had the 4 wheel drive it was in the car.Great Job Jaliya and the Team.keep up the great and truthful work u have done so far.see you Guys next year for sure.one more thing and that is pls buy a Prado to ur fleet.
Exceptional service and very friendly staff! FIVE STARS! It was our first time in Sri Lanka, and we were just amazed by the professionalism and hospitality of all the workers at Shineway-rent-a-car and especially Jaliya.
We were communicating via email before arrival and mr. Jaliya was super competent, carrying, fast with his replies and friendly with every response. He kindly asked in advance if we got driving permits from automobile association of Sri Lanka already which are required to drive here, and since we did not have them, he entirely took care of it. We just sent our international driving licenses, and by the time we arrived permits for both my husband and me were ready.
When we arrived we were welcomed and provided with all details right away, we just turned our heads and the car was already waiting for us at the front door, we made a quick inspection, got all the instructions about the car and insurance and were ready to go! WOW! Seriously, I have never rented a car that fast and stress-free anywhere I have traveled to. It took us just about five mins by the time we walked in the door to the time we were leaving with the car.
AND the car was GREAT; it was nice jeep RAV4 – just perfect for our trip! We had much of the driving and adventures planned, for six days we went from Colombo to Sigiriya Rock, then to Nine arches bridge, Yala and came back to Colombo. So it was essential to us to have a car we can rely on, and it did not disappoint. Since we were not used to Sri Lanka’s driving system at the beginning, and it did get a bit intense for us, the sharp brakes and excellent stability of the car saved us many times from getting into an accident, I am not even kidding!
WE are very-very happy with all the experience and service! Thank you so much! We will recommend Shineway-rent-a-car to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. THANK YOU!
